99Sounds – 120 Free Kick Drum Samples

Kick Drum is a free collection of electronic kick drum samples crafted by 8-bit Logic, featuring 120 key labeled bass drum samples in total. Apart from the 120 drum samples in WAV format, the download also includes SFZ and NKI patches for each kick sample.

The provided patches are already mapped across the keyboard, making it easy to match the selected kick drum to the key of your project. Simply choose the kick patch, play the desired note on your MIDI keyboard or in the piano roll and you’re done. This makes 99Sounds Kick Drum an absolutely perfect addition to our popular 99 Drum Samples collection.

The free kick drum samples were created by 8-bit Logic, a UK based sound designer and music producer.  A big thank you goes out to our friend Avner M. who provided the SFZ patches.

All included kick drum samples are sorted into three different categories: Traditional Kicks, Subby Kicks and Minimal Kicks. Each sample is key labeled, meaning that you can easily drop it into your favorite sampler instrument and match it to your project’s key. The provided SFZ patches are compatible with freely downloadable samplers such as Sforzando, Poise, Zampler, etc.

If you own the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt, you can also use the provided NKI patches which feature a fully customized user interface. This way you can control various sound parameters such as envelope attack and decay, pitch envelope amount and speed and HP/LP filter cutoff and resonance. The high pass filter is especially handy in this case, because you can use it to boost the low end of your kick drum at higher resonance settings.
